PDP crisis: No force can remove me – Anyanwu gives condition to resign

Samuel Anyanwu is the National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Right now, he is facing a problem because some people say he should leave his job. But Anyanwu says he is the true holder of the position.

He said no one in the party, not even big companies like Julius Berger, can force him out of the job. He told this at a meeting with PDP leaders from the Southeast zone.

Anyanwu also promised that if any PDP governor, like Governor Peter Mbah, says he took something from them, he will quit his job immediately. He said, “I am the only National Secretary of the PDP, and no force, not even a Julius Berger crane, can remove me. If any governor says I took anything from them, I will resign.”

At the same meeting, another PDP leader, Senate Minority Whip Osita Ngwu, asked the party to support the Southeast zone’s choice, Sunday Ude-Okoye, for the National Secretary job. Ngwu said the party should listen to the Southeast zone because it is fair and follows past rules.

There is a fight inside the PDP about who is the real National Secretary. This started when Anyanwu left his job to try to become governor of Imo State, but he lost the election. After that, the Southeast zone picked Ude-Okoye to take the job.

Former governor Achike Udenwa said the people supporting Anyanwu are not stronger than the Southeast zone group.

This fight shows a big problem inside the PDP, and the party will need to make a decision soon to solve it.
