A Nigerian woman named Nicky Sommy Ugom recently welcomed a baby with her new partner. After starting this new chapter in her life, some people began to worry about the safety of her three daughters from her previous marriage. Nicky decided to speak out and address these concerns directly.

She understands why some people might feel worried, but she wants to make it clear that her daughters will always come first. Nicky said she would never stay in any relationship that made her children feel unsafe or uncomfortable. For her, the happiness and protection of her daughters are the most important things.

Nicky also shared that her new partner is a loving protector. He understands how important children are and treats her daughters with care and respect. She trusts him to support and protect her family because he sees the value of putting the kids first.

“Many people have questioned the safety of my children in my relationship and believe me their question is coming from a place of love which I understand very well,” she wrote in a Facebook post on Saturday.

You all should know that at this stage of my life I can’t just risk my children for anything. I have built myself over the years and no more the lady who depends on anyone for survival. I have always been the one to tell people especially single mothers with girls to mind the kind of men they choose for themselves for the sake of their children.

Who is even safe?. Even some female children are not safe with their own biological fathers. I think we should understand that we can only do our best as humans and leave the rest to our creator. 

My children come first in everything I do. I will never be in a relationship they are not comfortable with. They know what is good at their age and my daughter Chisom will tell you simple if she is not ok with a person.

Please everyone, my babies and I are safer now than ever!! This is not love don carry her. Everyone around me knows so well that I cherish friendship and same way I cherish love, then when it’s my children what do you expect?

I told myself from onset that I won’t have anything to do with a single guy that has no child or children before because they might not really understand the importance of children. I kept to that till God gave me mine. I don’t need to tell you about my man but just take this with you. He is a confirm father! In fact I learnt a lot from this person which even helped me in training my girls and am not here to brag! He is a protector.

So please my darlings, worry about something else because my girls and I are very ok. Nicky is not in her vulnerable state anymore. I got into this with my clear eyes and believe me. Till tomorrow, I will keep blessing God for bringing him our way.
