A Nigerian woman named Bright has made a shocking claim about what happened during the birth of her twin babies. She said a doctor in Abuja told her that one of her twins had died during childbirth, but she later saw a baby that looked just like her missing child with the doctor’s wife.
Bright shared her story during an interview with Arise News. She said that Dr. Timothy Zeje from Divine Rain Maternity Clinic may have taken her baby and given it to his wife.
On June 11, 2022, Bright said she went for a scan at the hospital, and it clearly showed that she was still pregnant with twins. But when they called Dr. Zeje, he said he was not available that day.
Bright said the delivery felt strange. Instead of getting a spinal injection, which is the usual method, she was injected in her shoulder. After that, she passed out. When she woke up, only one baby was next her.
After the birth, Bright’s husband started asking questions. He wanted to know what happened to the second baby. The nurses told him that the doctor said one baby didn’t survive.
Bright said she asked to see the body of the baby they claimed had died, but no one showed her anything. She was told the baby’s body was “scattered beyond recognition,” which made her even more suspicious.
Later, the hospital claimed that her scan records were destroyed in a fire. Bright said this felt like another attempt to hide the truth.
A few weeks later, Bright went to another hospital—Amak Hospital in Besa—for her baby’s immunisation. There, she saw Dr. Zeje’s wife holding two babies. One of the babies looked exactly like her missing child.
Bright said she was in shock and deeply confused. She couldn’t believe her eyes and started questioning everything. She said she couldn’t even tell anymore which baby was her.
At first, Bright’s husband didn’t believe what she was saying. But after hearing her full story, he changed his mind and promised to support her.
Even though Bright doesn’t have a lot of money, she said she won’t stop fighting to find her missing baby. She wants the truth and justice.
As of now, neither Dr. Zeje nor Divine Rain Maternity Clinic has replied to the serious allegation made by bright.
