David Adeleke, better known as Davido, is a famous Nigerian singer. Recently, he shared something surprising – if he wasn’t a musician, he would have become a journalist.
He made this statement during an interview with 96.1 The Beat radio station in Atlanta. Davido was explaining why he spends more time doing media interviews and promotions than many other artists.
Davido said he really enjoys promoting himself and having conversations. He also revealed that he studied marketing and business management, which helps him understand how to market himself well. He joked that if he had a podcast, he could talk nonstop for three to four days!
For Davido, talking to the media is an important part of being an artist. While some famous musicians avoid press, Davido loves it because he enjoys talking and connecting with people. He likes learning new things and always keeps researching, even when he’s at home. If he wasn’t making music, journalism would have been his career.
He also mentioned that many people in his position would just relax and let things happen, but he prefers to work hard. When people ask why he has so many followers on social media, he says it’s because he works for it.
Davido ended by saying he respects artists like Beyoncé who, despite their wealth, still work very hard. This motivates him to keep pushing forward.
