Banker Goes Missing In Lagos, Family Raises Alarm

A family in Lagos is very worried because their son, Osemudiamen Idemudia, has gone missing. He is 26 years old and works as a banker.

The family says Osemudiamen disappeared in a strange way while he was coming home from work. They have not heard from him since.

Osemudiamen’s father, Julius Idemudia, spoke to Punch news on Wednesday, May 14. He said his son was last seen on the evening of Friday, May 9, 2025.

Julius explained that Osemudiamen worked in the Point-of-Sale section of a bank. On that day, Osemudiamen left the office with a colleague. They were going to meet a senior staff member at the bank’s headquarters in CMS, Lagos Island.

When they got there, the meeting was cancelled by the senior staff. So, the two workers decided to go home.

After Osemudiamen said goodbye to his colleague, no one has seen or heard from him again. His family is very worried and wants help to find him.

If you have any information about Osemudiamen’s whereabouts, please contact his family or the police.

“Osemudiamen has been missing since Friday, May 9. He resumed at his office in Ikota that morning and later planned to go to the head office with a colleague after work for an appointment they had with a senior staff member. However, while they were on their way, the official called to say he wouldn’t be able to see them until Monday,” he said.

“When they eventually got to CMS, they parted ways. As usual, Osemudiamen was expected to board a bus to Iyana Ipaja, and from there, take another bus to Igando. But when it started getting late and we hadn’t heard from him, we became worried. After 24 hours of no contact, we raised the alarm. Since then, we haven’t heard from him. Our hearts are heavy with worry. This is so unlike him, and we are deeply concerned for his safety and well-being.”

Idemudia said the incident was reported at the Igando Police Station which is close to the Akesan area where Osemudiamen lives.

“We have reported the case of a missing person at the Igando Police Station and efforts are ongoing to meet with the Chief Security Officer of the bank for further probe on his disappearance,” he added.
