Alonso gets Real Madrid’s approval for 3 new signings before Club World Cup

Xabi Alonso, who is set to leave Bayer Leverkusen, has been given permission by Real Madrid to sign three new players before the FIFA Club World Cup.

As reported by Madrid Zone through Marca, Alonso made the request to have these new players in place before the Club World Cup begins in June. Real Madrid has agreed to his request.

The Spanish manager is targeting three key signings this summer: Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold, a new left-back, and a new centre-back to strengthen the defense.

Earlier this year, Alonso agreed to a three-year contract with Real Madrid, where he will take over as the new head coach.

He is expected to replace current manager Carlo Ancelotti and lead the team during the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup.

Alonso is familiar with Real Madrid, having played for the club during his career as a midfielder.

Besides Madrid, the 43-year-old also played for big clubs like Bayern Munich and Real Sociedad in the past.
