UCL: Mo Salah reveals what he told PSG players after win

Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has shared what he said to the Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) players after they knocked Liverpool out of the UEFA Champions League.

The match between Liverpool and PSG ended 1-1 in the second leg of the Round of 16. But PSG went through to the next round after winning 4-1 in the penalty shootout.

In an interview with L’Équipe, as reported by Mirror and Sportskeeda, Salah opened up about how he felt after the game and what he said to PSG players.

He explained that the match was very close. “Everything in that match was 50/50,” Salah said. “No one can really say who deserved to win more. We played a great second leg, and they had a strong first leg.”

He continued, “When you lose on penalties, sometimes it’s just not your day. This time, it was their day. I don’t think anyone could say they clearly deserved the win 100%. It was even.”

Despite the painful loss, Salah showed great sportsmanship. After the match, he congratulated the PSG players. “I shook their hands and said, ‘Congratulations, go win it!’” he said.

Since then, Liverpool has recovered well and went on to win the Premier League title this season.

Meanwhile, PSG continued their Champions League journey and beat Arsenal 3-1 on aggregate in the semifinals. They will now face Inter Milan in the final in Munich.
