Arsenal’s Jorginho to sign three-year contract with new club

Arsenal midfielder Jorginho is set to join Flamengo and has agreed to a three-year contract that will keep him at the Brazilian club until 2028.

This news was confirmed by football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, who shared the update on his official X (formerly Twitter) account on Monday night.

According to Romano, the Italian international will move to Flamengo as a free agent after his current deal with Arsenal ends this season.

Romano posted, “Jorginho set to join Flamengo on free transfer, here we go! The plan has been in place since January. The midfielder will leave Arsenal in June. A three-year deal with Flamengo is verbally agreed. Jorginho has given the green light.”

Jorginho began his Premier League journey with Chelsea in 2018 after moving from Napoli in Italy’s Serie A.

He spent five years at Chelsea before transferring to Arsenal in 2023. Now, at the age of 33, he’s ready for a new chapter in Brazil with Flamengo.
