Gunmen kill man and abduct his wife in Nasarawa community

Late on Tuesday night, April 29, a tragic event happened in Aloshi, a community in Keana Local Government Area of Nasarawa State. Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers broke into the home of 37-year-old Stephen Kwaghtomun and shot him dead. They then took his 27-year-old wife away to an unknown location.

Witnesses said the attackers fired many gunshots before killing the man, who was known in the area as “Action.” His wife was forcefully taken away, and her whereabouts remain unknown.

People in the community are scared and shocked by the incident. A local resident, who didn’t want to be named, said the attack has left everyone deeply worried.

The police in Nasarawa confirmed the event. According to SP Ramhan Nansel, the state police spokesperson, the case was reported by the Divisional Police Officer of Keana. He said the man’s body has been taken to the General Hospital in Obi, and efforts are ongoing to find the kidnappers and rescue the woman.
