Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has made a big statement about young Barcelona star, Lamine Yamal. After an exciting 3-3 draw between Barcelona and Inter Milan in the UEFA Champions League semi-final first leg, Henry said Yamal might be better than football legends Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo in the future.
The 17-year-old winger played an amazing game that caught the attention of fans and football experts. So far, Yamal has played 100 matches for Barcelona, scoring 22 goals and giving 33 assists—an incredible record for someone so young.
Speaking on CBS Sports, former Liverpool player Jamie Carragher said watching Yamal reminded him of Messi during his best years. But Henry went even further. He said:
“In football, people always think no one can be better than Messi, Ronaldo, or legends like Pele and Maradona. Then someone like Yamal comes along and changes everything.”
Yamal hopes to continue his great form when Barcelona plays Inter Milan again next week in Italy at San Siro Stadium.
