A medical doctor has shared a shocking story on social media about what happened to her best friend after she gave birth in a well-known hospital in Accra, Ghana.

According to the doctor, her friend started complaining of pain and a terrible smell coming from her body shortly after delivery. For weeks, they tried many different antibiotics and treatments, but nothing helped.

Finally, they discovered the cause — a pad had been mistakenly left inside her body for an entire month after childbirth. The doctor, who is also the woman’s close friend, said she was very upset and called the mistake unacceptable. She explained that her friend could have developed a serious infection called toxic shock syndrome.

This situation has raised concerns about medical care and safety, even in well-known hospitals.
