UCL semifinals: Arsenal adamant on breaking UEFA rule ahead of PSG clash

Arsenal are facing criticism for trying to change a UEFA rule ahead of their Champions League semifinal against Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). The big match is set for Tuesday, April 29, at the Emirates Stadium in London.

UEFA rules say that 5% of a stadium’s seats must go to away fans. This means PSG should get 3,000 tickets for their supporters. However, a report from Sport Bible, through France Bleu, claims that Arsenal want to lower that number to 2,500.

With only a few days left before the match, the away ticket section at Arsenal’s stadium has still not opened. This has left PSG fans confused, as they cannot buy tickets or make plans to travel.

Earlier this season, when PSG hosted Arsenal, they gave all 3,000 tickets to Arsenal fans, and Arsenal won that game 2-0. Now, it seems the Gunners want to avoid a large number of PSG supporters at the Emirates.

Arsenal have not explained why they want to reduce the tickets. Reports say PSG are fighting to get the full number of tickets they deserve, but nothing has changed so far.

This is not the first time Arsenal have faced complaints. In January, during an FA Cup game against Manchester United, they gave only 8,000 away tickets instead of the 9,000 allowed.
