Football legend Luis Figo is reportedly no longer living with his wife, model Helene Svedin. According to Spanish media, Figo has moved out of their family home in Madrid and is now living in a rented apartment.
This change became more noticeable when Figo attended the Laureus Awards in Spain earlier this week. While talking about the best things in his life, he mentioned his daughters—Daniela, Martina, and Stella—but did not mention his wife. In the past, he usually attended the event with Svedin, but this year he was seen leaving his new place alone.
Reports suggest that Figo has been living at the new place for about a month. Both Figo and Svedin are said to be living “separate lives,” though there has been no official statement confirming a separation.
It’s not the first time Figo has moved out temporarily. Three years ago, he reportedly stayed at a friend’s hotel for two weeks before returning to his family.
There were also rumors linking Figo to model Claudia Bavel, but he strongly denied any relationship, calling the rumors “garbage” and saying he might take legal action.
Meanwhile, Svedin has been spending time in Mallorca, according to her Instagram, and did not attend the Laureus Awards with Figo.
Figo and Svedin met in 1996 and got married several years later. They have three daughters together. Svedin is also known for her passion for dressage and trains regularly with her horse, Raio.
Luis Figo is remembered as one of the best footballers of his time, having played for Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Inter Milan. He won the Ballon d’Or in 2000.
