EPL: He’s unstoppable – Guardiola labels Man City star best player in the world

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has praised winger Jeremy Doku, calling him the best player in the world in the first few metres of play.

Guardiola shared this high praise after Man City’s 2-1 win against Aston Villa in the Premier League on Tuesday night. The game was held at the Etihad Stadium.

Matheus Nunes and Bernardo Silva scored for Manchester City, helping them secure all three points. Marcus Rashford, who is currently on loan at Aston Villa from Manchester United, scored the only goal for the visitors.

After the match, Guardiola spoke about Doku’s impact on the game. He said, “Jeremy always brings something special, especially for the fans. At first, he struggled a bit, but later on, he changed the game. In the first five metres, he is unstoppable.”

Jeremy Doku joined Manchester City from French club Rennes in August 2023 for £55.5 million. Since then, he has impressed with his speed and dribbling skills.

This win puts Manchester City in third place on the Premier League table as they continue their title race.
