Saudi Arabia: Cristiano Ronaldo dropped from Al-Nassr squad to face Damac

Cristiano Ronaldo has been left out of the Al Nassr squad for their upcoming match against Damac in the Saudi Pro League on Tuesday.

The 20-man squad for this important league game does not include Ronaldo, and he will not be participating in the match.

Sadio Mané is also missing from the team due to a suspension.

With both Ronaldo and Mané absent, Jhon Durán will take the lead in attack for Al Nassr.

Al Nassr’s head coach, Stefano Pioli, is focusing on the club’s upcoming AFC Champions League campaign, with the team preparing to face Yokohama F. Marinos in the quarter-finals on Saturday.

Pioli, the Italian manager, has decided to rest Ronaldo, who is 40 years old, to ensure he stays fit for future matches.

This is only the second time this season that Ronaldo has been left out of an Al Nassr Saudi Pro League match. The last time he missed a game was in October 2024 when Al Nassr drew 3–3 with Al Kholood.
