Athletic Bilbao head coach Ernesto Valverde has said that Rangers striker Cyriel Dessers is a big threat ahead of their Europa League quarter-final second leg.

Bilbao will play at home against Rangers today at the San Mames Stadium. The first leg ended in a 0-0 draw.

Valverde spoke to the press and praised Rangers for their strong playing style. He pointed out that Dessers is one of their most dangerous players.

“Rangers have a good team and know how to use space well,” Valverde said. “Dessers keeps making runs and is always in the right place. He’s a key player for them.”

So far in the Europa League this season, Dessers has scored three goals and made two assists in 11 matches.

Valverde made it clear that stopping Dessers will be important if Bilbao wants to win and move forward in the competition.
