Former Arsenal player Philippe Senderos believes Real Madrid still has a chance to come back in their Champions League quarter-final second leg against Arsenal.
The second leg will take place on Wednesday night at the Santiago Bernabeu in Madrid. In the first leg, Arsenal surprised everyone by beating Real Madrid 3-0 at the Emirates Stadium.
Speaking to the Spanish media, Senderos said that Real Madrid should not be counted out yet. He believes the team’s history, strong players, and home support could help them make a big comeback.
“Madrid is a team full of champions and has a rich history,” Senderos said. “The 3-0 loss is a tough result, but if they play well, they can hurt Arsenal.”
He added that anything is possible when Madrid plays at home, especially with their fans behind them. “The fans will push them forward, and an early goal could change everything. They can do it,” he said.
