The Nigerian government has declared Friday, April 18 and Monday, April 21, 2025, as public holidays. This is to allow Christians in the country to celebrate Good Friday and Easter Monday.
He encouraged Nigerians to take time during the holiday to pray for peace, unity, and progress in the country. He also mentioned President Bola Tinubu’s commitment to building a better Nigeria through the Renewed Hope Agenda.
The Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, made the announcement on behalf of the Federal Government. He congratulated Christians on this special occasion and reminded everyone of the love and sacrifice shown by Jesus Christ.
The Minister asked Nigerians to be kind and generous to one another during this season. He wished all Christians a joyful Easter and sent warm greetings to all citizens.
