The semi-final matches for this season’s UEFA Champions League will be confirmed by tonight (Wednesday).
Two teams have already secured their place in the final four after Tuesday night’s games.
Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) became the first team to qualify, even though they lost 3-2 to Aston Villa. PSG had a strong start at Villa Park, with goals from defenders Achraf Hakimi and Nuno Mendes. Aston Villa fought back and scored three goals, but it wasn’t enough. PSG went through with a 5-4 win on aggregate.
Barcelona also made it to the semi-finals. They had a big 4-0 win in the first leg against Borussia Dortmund and lost 3-1 in the second leg. Despite Serhou Guirassy scoring a hat-trick for Dortmund, they couldn’t close the gap.
Now, PSG will face the winner of the Real Madrid vs Arsenal match. Arsenal are going into the second leg with a 3-0 lead.
Barcelona will play the winner of the Inter Milan vs Bayern Munich match. Inter won the first leg 2-1 away at Bayern.
By the end of the day, all semi-final teams will be known.
