The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Nasarawa State has arrested a young wheelbarrow pusher named Alfa Ali for allegedly stabbing his colleague, Hayyatu Ibrahim, to death after a disagreement over who should carry goods delivered from Jos.

The fight started two days before the incident at Angwan Maina Park in Lafia. Both men, who are from Jigawa State, argued about who should move the goods to their destination. Sadly, the issue remained in Ali’s heart and led him to attack Hayyatu.

According to the NSCDC spokesperson, ASC Muhammed Suraju, the incident happened on April 10, 2025, around 2:00 pm. Ali used a horn as a weapon to stab Hayyatu. The victim was rushed to the Federal University Teaching Hospital in Lafia but was confirmed dead.

Ali was caught while trying to run away. He has confessed to the crime. The NSCDC says that he will be taken to court after investigations are completed.

The Command has warned people to be careful about the kind of friends and coworkers they associate with to avoid dangerous situations like this.
