Tinubu’s govt worst than Nigerian military dictatorship – Pastor Giwa alleges

Pastor Adewale Giwa, who leads The Second Coming of Christ Ministry in Akure, has said that President Bola Tinubu’s government is worse than when Nigeria was under military rule.

Speaking in an interview, Pastor Giwa said people who once fought against military governments are now behaving even worse than the old military leaders.

He was unhappy about the state of emergency declared in Rivers State, especially when no one was killed there. He compared it to Plateau State, where over 50 people were killed recently, but no state of emergency was declared.

“This government is acting like a military dictatorship,” Pastor Giwa said. “When over 50 people were killed in Plateau, nothing was done. But in Rivers, where nobody died, they declared an emergency. This shows how bad things have gotten.”

Recently, gunmen attacked several villages in Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State. At least 51 people were killed, and many were injured.

Two weeks earlier, similar deadly attacks happened in other parts of Plateau State. The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) also reported that 52 people had been killed and about 2,000 forced to leave their homes because of ongoing violence.

Reacting to the situation, former presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar blamed President Tinubu, saying his security plans have completely failed.
