Popular Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola Badmus, also known as “Portable,” has been arrested by the Kwara State Police Command. The arrest happened in Abeokuta, Ogun State, on Saturday, April 13, 2025.

According to the police, the arrest was based on a petition from another entertainer, Okunola Saheed, who is also known as “Osupa.” The petition accused Portable of criminal defamation, threatening someone’s life, using abusive language, inciting trouble, and damaging someone’s character.

The police said they followed legal steps and got a valid arrest warrant from a court in Ilorin. Officers then went to Abeokuta, where they arrested Portable around 7:25 PM and brought him to Ilorin for investigation.

After arriving in Ilorin, Portable gave his statement in front of lawyers from both sides. He is currently in police custody, and the authorities are preparing to take him to court soon.

The Kwara State Police Command said they are committed to following the law and asked the public to stay calm and avoid spreading rumors.
