Top Nigerian leaders in politics, business, and traditional roles will be honoured at the Aso Prestigious Awards 2025. The event, organized by Aso Multimedia, will also feature the Aso Cultural Fiesta.
Some of the key people to be honoured include Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Nyesom Wike, Niger State Governor Umar Mohammed Bago, and Katsina State Governor Dikko Umaru Radda.
This year’s edition is the 20th Aso Prestigious Award and includes several award categories like Man/Woman of the Year, Entrepreneur of the Year, Public Servant of the Year, and many more.
Oluremi Tinubu will receive the Woman of the Year award, while Nyesom Wike will be honoured as Man of the Year. Governor Bago will be named Governor of the Year, and Governor Radda will receive Best Performing Governor of the Year.
Other awardees include Prince Olatunji Olusoji, CEO of Grosvenor Group, as Young Entrepreneur of the Year, and Hajiya (Dr) Aishatu Lami Bala Mohammed, the First Lady of Bauchi State, as First Lady of the Year.
According to the Project Coordinator, Amb. Kingsley Tolu Agboola, the awards are meant to recognise people in both public and private sectors who have made big contributions to Nigeria’s growth.
The event will be held on June 13, 2025, and will also feature cultural exhibitions, music, comedy, food, drinks, and fashion shows. It will be part of the celebration for President Bola Tinubu’s second year in office.
