Remo Stars head coach, Daniel Ogunmodede, still believes his team can win the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) title, even after losing 1-0 to Rivers United.
The defeat reduced Remo Stars’ lead at the top of the table to five points. With seven games left in the season, the team is focused on winning their first NPFL title.
Remo Stars will face Lobi Stars away from home in a rescheduled matchday 30 game on Wednesday.
Despite the setback, Ogunmodede remains confident. He said, “There’s no problem. We’ll return home and win our next game. That will bring us back to an eight-point lead.”
He also said the team has three more home matches and they will try to get all nine points from those games.
“It’s a tough competition, and we enjoy it. We’re very close. In the next six weeks, we might be celebrating,” he added.
