Senator Chuck Schumer, a top Democrat from New York, has said there is a lot of confusion and disorder in President Donald Trump’s cabinet. His comments came after Elon Musk insulted one of Trump’s top advisors.
Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, reacted strongly to Trump’s trade advisor Peter Navarro. Navarro had said in an interview that Tesla is not really a car manufacturer but just puts together parts made in other countries.
Musk fired back on social media, calling Navarro a “moron” and said he was “dumber than a sack of bricks.” Musk also said Navarro’s claims were completely false and misleading.
Schumer pointed to this public fight as a clear example of the chaos in Trump’s administration. He had already warned that Trump’s trade tariffs could hurt the U.S. economy and possibly lead to a recession.
This disagreement shows deeper problems in how the Trump White House is handling trade and communication with major businesses like Tesla.
