Return to APC, Tinubu should continue – Adeyanju tackles El-Rufai over coalition

Activist and lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, has told former Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai, to return to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and ask for a ministerial role instead of working against President Bola Tinubu.

Adeyanju said this on social media, explaining that it’s better for Tinubu to continue as president than for El-Rufai to lead any political coalition. He also said that Nigerians won’t easily forget the things El-Rufai has said and done in the past.

He wrote on X (formerly Twitter):
“I need to put this out there now. Any coalition with El-Rufai, it’s better for Tinubu to continue. Let El-Rufai just go back to his APC & lobby for his minister of power appointment. We can’t forget everything he has said & done because of politics.”

This comes after El-Rufai and former PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, announced a new coalition. Their aim is to challenge and remove Tinubu from office in the 2027 election.

Before forming the coalition, El-Rufai left the APC and joined the Social Democratic Party (SDP). He also criticized the APC, saying the party no longer practices internal democracy.
