Nyesom Wike, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) minister, has made it clear that he will not hesitate to sign condolence letters for those who wish him death.
This statement came after he was asked about social media rumors claiming he collapsed last week. Wike dismissed these rumors as lies, saying they were spread by people trying to gain cheap political points.
Speaking after inspecting several ongoing projects in the FCT, Wike reminded everyone that death is inevitable for all people, but only God knows when it will happen, not humans.
He made it clear that even those who have been wishing for his death should not be taken seriously, as he plans to write them condolence letters when their time comes.
These comments come after rumors of Wike collapsing at a function in Abuja. His spokesperson, Lere Olayinka, quickly denied the rumors, calling them fake news.
Wike was seen in public just days after the reports alongside other leaders, including a visit to President Bola Tinubu for a Sallah celebration.
Despite the false reports and criticism, Wike remains confident and unapologetic in his stance.
