Nigerian rapper Tochukwu Ojogwu, better known as Odumodublvck, has revealed that he turned down a significant amount of money during the 2023 presidential elections.
The rapper was reportedly offered a life-changing sum to campaign against Labour Party’s Peter Obi, but he chose to refuse the offer.
Odumodublvck made this statement in response to critics who accused him of demanding too much from Obi, especially after asking the former Anambra State governor to promote his new album, The Machine Is Coming.
The rapper explained that asking Obi for album promotion was a small request, considering the support he had given him.
In a post on his X account, Odumodublvck shared, “Ask Abbas, I was offered money I had never seen to campaign against Mr Peter but I turned it down. Telling him to promote my new album is not too much to ask as I am not the one to seek favours. I sacrificed my life for this man. No wam. The Machine Is Coming.”
Odumodublvck’s loyalty to Peter Obi and his refusal to accept the money for political campaigning highlights his strong stance on supporting the Labour Party candidate, despite the pressures surrounding him.
