EPL: Bent tells Arsenal’s new sporting director players to sell, keep at Emirates

Arsenal’s new sporting director, Andrea Berta, has an important task ahead in shaping the team’s future. Former Tottenham Hotspur striker Darren Bent has shared his opinion on which players should stay and which ones should leave the club.

Bent believes that Arsenal should sell Gabriel Jesus and look for a new top-quality striker in the upcoming transfer window.

According to him, Jesus has struggled with injuries since joining Arsenal from Manchester City in 2022 and is currently out with an ACL injury. Bent is convinced that moving him on would be the right decision.

“Havertz stays. Gabriel Jesus, he’s got to go,” Bent said, as reported by TBR Football. He added that Arsenal need a strong centre-forward, as they already have good options on the left with Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli, and Bukayo Saka and Ethan Nwaneri on the right.

Bent also suggested that Trossard should not be a regular starter but instead be used as a substitute to maintain squad depth.

With Berta now in charge, Arsenal fans will be eager to see what transfer decisions he makes in the summer.
