Pastor Jerry Eze, the founder of Streams of Joy International, has shared why he often cries during prayer sessions.
He explained that he is a very compassionate person. When he started his ministry, he realized that compassion is important for miracles to happen.
Pastor Jerry said he receives many messages from people sharing their struggles and challenges. He feels deeply for them and cannot ignore their pain. This strong sense of compassion makes him emotional during prayers.
For him, praying is not just about words—it is about connecting with people’s pain and seeking God’s help for them.
“The Bible says we do not have a high priest who can not be touched with the feelings of our authorities and the Bible says he was made like one of them that he might become a faithful and merciful high priest.
“Well, I’ve always known myself to be a very compassionate person and then coming into ministry and I realized that compassion is an inevitable tool for the miraculous every day I am greeted with all kinds of messages you are seeing in all kinds of situations.
“Let me give you an example so how do you make this kind of prayer how you see a woman who has who lost her husband try to remarry loses the second one and after everything try to get married a third time lose the third,” he explained during an interview to mark NSPPD’s fifth anniversary.
