Pastor Femi Lazarus has announced that a coalition of three ministries has been formed to take action against people who criticize pastors or churches online.
He made it clear that the church follows a structured hierarchy, and it is the responsibility of pastors to maintain order within it.
According to him, the church will no longer remain silent while ministers and their ministries face public criticism. He emphasized that as a pastor, he has the authority to correct music ministers, distinguishing them from music artists.
This statement follows backlash he received for criticizing gospel singers who charge high fees to perform in churches.
Speaking during a church service, Pastor Lazarus explained that this coalition of ministries will actively work to take down platforms that spread negative remarks about pastors or their ministries.
He firmly believes that the public does not have the right to openly criticize church leaders, as pastors are responsible for guiding the church and its members.
This development has sparked discussions about the role of pastors, the boundaries of public criticism, and the distinction between music artists and music ministers in the Christian community.
