Popular American rapper Kentrell DeSean Gaulden, better known as NBA YoungBoy, has been released from prison. Reports say he was freed on Monday, March 24, 2025.
Jamaican-American podcaster and internet personality DJ Akademiks shared the news on X (formerly Twitter). He wrote, “Looks like NBA YOUNGBOY has been released from federal prison and either transferred to a halfway house or is headed home.”
NBA YoungBoy had been serving a 27-month sentence for federal charges. In 2024, he entered a no-contest plea for 36 more charges. Following his plea deal, Judge Spencer Walsh reduced his felony charges to Class A misdemeanors and ordered him to pay a $25,000 fine.
Now that he’s out of prison, fans are eager to see what’s next for the rapper. Will he return to music soon? Time will tell.
