Veteran Nollywood actor Jide Kosoko has explained that he never had four wives at the same time, as some people believe.

Speaking on The Honest Bunch podcast, Kosoko shared that he was married to two women but sadly lost them. Later, he married two other women. He also emphasized that he is not promoting polygamy, as not everyone may have the same experience he has.

Kosoko said he considers himself lucky because his wives and children understand each other. He explained that in some polygamous homes, conflicts arise when resources are not evenly available. However, in his case, his family understands that financial situations vary.

He shared an example of how he handles birthdays. If he has money when one child’s birthday comes, he celebrates it. If another child’s birthday arrives when he is not financially stable, they accept it and wait for a better time. His children even remind him to buy their gifts when he has money again.

Kosoko made it clear that he does not believe in giving gifts just to make things equal. He prefers to show love in different ways and ensures that his family members feel valued.

Despite his experience with polygamy, the actor stressed that he does not encourage others to follow the same path, as it may not work for everyone.
