‘GOAT’ – Bellingham hails Real Madrid star

Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham has praised Caroline Weir as the “GOAT” after her stunning performance against Barcelona Femeni.

Weir came off the bench and scored two late goals to help Real Madrid Women secure a historic 3-1 victory over their rivals. Before this match, Madrid had lost all 18 previous meetings with Barcelona since the team was formed five years ago.

Real Madrid Women shocked Barcelona Femeni with their first-ever win against them. The match was even more special because Barcelona had dominated their meetings in the past, including an 8-1 aggregate win in the Copa de la Reina earlier this month.

Weir did not start the match but made a huge impact after coming on. She scored in the 87th minute and then again in stoppage time to seal the win.

Bellingham, who was watching the match from England’s FIFA international camp, showed his support for Real Madrid Women. After the game, he commented on Weir’s Instagram post, calling her the “GOAT” (Greatest of All Time).

This victory came just days after Real Madrid Women defeated Arsenal Women 2-0 in the UEFA Women’s Champions League. Now, they are only four points behind Barcelona in the league with seven matches remaining.

This win has boosted their confidence, and fans will be eager to see if they can close the gap further in the title race.
