EFCC arrests 133 suspects in Abuja Ponzi Scheme Academy raid

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has uncovered a Ponzi scheme training center in the Gwagwalada area of Abuja. The center, known as Q University or Q-Net, was recruiting young Nigerians and training them to bring more people into the scheme.

The anti-graft agency arrested 133 people involved in the program on Monday, March 24. According to EFCC spokesman Dele Oyewale, the trainees were made to believe they would become billionaires through a special training called “Special Training for New Generation Billionaires.”

To join the program, recruits had to fill out an “Independent Representative Application Form” with motivational slogans like “I’m a Champion,” “I’m Unstoppable,” and “I’m Infinity.” The EFCC, working with the Nigerian Army’s 176 Guards Battalion, raided the training center based on reliable intelligence.

Phones, computers, and other electronic devices were seized from the suspects. The EFCC has stated that they will be taken to court once investigations are complete.
