The National Chairman of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Shehu Gabam, has declared that President Bola Tinubu and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) can lose the 2027 election. He stated that winning is not just about strategy or individual brilliance but about listening to the people.

Gabam revealed that many top politicians are moving to the SDP from other parties. Speaking in an interview on Channels Television, he said the party is growing daily, with dignitaries from across Nigeria joining.

Recently, former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, left the APC and joined the SDP. Gabam noted that over 300 politicians, including former senators and ministers, have resigned from their parties to join SDP.

Gabam made it clear that the SDP aims to take over the presidency in 2027. He emphasized that every political party’s goal is to win power, and SDP is working towards that.

He believes that APC is making mistakes because they are not paying attention to the people’s needs. According to him, leadership is not limited to one party or individual, and there are many capable leaders who can do better.

The SDP chairman stressed that no party is guaranteed victory. He argued that if APC had effective leadership, they wouldn’t be making errors that could cost them the next election.

With more experienced leaders joining SDP, Gabam is confident that his party has the talent and ability to take over governance in Nigeria.
