Manchester United reportedly preparing for a huge clear-out this summer with at least 10 players leaving

Manchester United is preparing for a major squad overhaul this summer, with at least 10 players expected to leave. The club’s new ownership and manager, Ruben Amorim, want to rebuild the team after another underwhelming season.

According to reports, United plans to sell Marcus Rashford, Antony, and Jadon Sancho permanently. These three players, currently on loan, are no longer part of the club’s future plans. The money from their sales will be used to sign a new top-quality striker.

Chelsea, who have an obligation to buy Sancho for £20-25 million, may try to avoid the deal by paying United £5 million in compensation instead.

Veteran midfielder Casemiro is also up for sale as the club looks to raise funds for new signings. Meanwhile, experienced players Jonny Evans and Tom Heaton are expected to retire at the end of the season. Additionally, Christian Eriksen and Victor Lindelof could be released.

With several attacking players leaving, United is reportedly looking for a new winger as part of their squad rebuild.

Speaking earlier this month, Amorim confirmed that some players already know their time at the club is coming to an end.

“Everybody understands that in football, sometimes you stay, sometimes you have to move on. I like to be clear with my players,” he said.

He emphasized that while the focus is still on finishing the season, some players are aware they will leave in the summer.

United’s part-owner, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, recently discussed the club’s past transfer mistakes. He pointed out that several expensive signings, including Sancho, Casemiro, Antony, Rasmus Hojlund, Lisandro Martinez, and Andre Onana, have either not performed well or are overpaid.

Ratcliffe acknowledged that reshaping the squad will take time. “We’ve inherited these problems and have to fix them,” he said. He also highlighted Bruno Fernandes as a key player for United’s future.

As United prepares for big changes, fans will be watching closely to see how the squad evolves ahead of the next season.
