Three of the 12 inmates who escaped from Koton Karfe prison in Kogi State have been caught. The Acting Controller General of the Nigeria Correctional Service, Sly Nwakuche, shared this update during a press briefing on Monday.
He sadly confirmed that one of the prison officers lost his life during the jailbreak. He assured the public that security forces are working hard to find the remaining escapees.
Nwakuche urged the public to help by providing useful information to security agencies. He promised that all the escapees will be found and returned to custody.
