The Borno State Police Command has arrested a 44-year-old woman, Falmata Muhammad, for allegedly stabbing her husband, Muhammad Mallum, to death. The tragic incident happened in the early hours of Thursday, March 20, in Pulka, Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State.
According to reports, the attack occurred around 5:30 a.m. when Falmata used a knife to stab her 50-year-old husband in the chest. He was quickly taken to the General Hospital in Gwoza, but doctors confirmed his death upon arrival. His body has been kept in the hospital’s mortuary for an autopsy.
The police arrested Falmata after receiving a report from one of the victim’s relatives. Officers also recovered the knife used in the attack as evidence. Authorities have launched a full investigation to understand the reason behind the attack and are preparing for her prosecution.
