Vice Admiral Ibok-ete Ibas (retd.), the newly appointed Sole Administrator of Rivers State, has arrived in the state to officially take up his role.
He was sworn in by President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday, March 19, and landed at the Port Harcourt International Airport at about 11:25 AM on Thursday, March 20. Upon arrival, he was warmly received by top government officials and security personnel.
Ibas was accompanied by the state Commissioner of Police, Olugbenga Adepoju, and the Assistant Inspector General of Police for Zone 16. Right after landing, he proceeded to Government House in Port Harcourt.
At the moment, he is holding a private meeting with senior security officers, a delegation from the Federal Government, and state officials. His arrival marks the beginning of his administration in Rivers State.
