The European Union’s foreign policy chief, Kaja Kallas, has warned European countries to be ready for any possible threats as the war between Russia and Ukraine continues.
On Wednesday, while presenting the ‘White Paper for European Defence and the ReArm Europe Plan/Readiness 2030,’ Kallas stressed the need for stronger defense strategies. She urged European nations to stand together to protect peace and prepare for any potential dangers.
She explained that the new defense plans aim to strengthen Europe against any future threats, ensuring security and stability across the region.
As tensions remain high, Kallas’ message serves as a reminder that Europe must stay alert and united to face any challenges ahead.
“We do this not to fight a war but to prepare for the worst, defend peace in Europe and stand strong for a world where might cannot make right,” Kallas said.
“The international order is undergoing changes of a magnitude not seen since 1945.
“This is a pivotal moment for European security. A pivotal moment for action.”
This is coming after Italy and Spain on Monday said they were not ready to back a European Union proposal to pledge up to $43.67 billion in military aid for Ukraine this year.
