Portable bows to pressure, apologies to Saheed Osupa for calling him ‘big for nothing’

Nigerian singer Portable has publicly apologized to Fuji music legend, King Saheed Osupa, after insulting him during a dispute over music rights.

Earlier, Portable criticized Osupa after the Fuji star had his song removed from streaming platforms due to copyright issues. Portable had used lyrics from Osupa’s song without permission, leading the veteran singer’s distribution team to take down the track from Apple Music and Spotify.

In a new video posted on Instagram, Portable admitted he acted out of anger and blamed his temper for his harsh words. He explained that the dispute was caused by money, which often leads to fights even among family members.

“My fans, I am hot-tempered, and I have spoken out of anger. Please forgive me. King Saheed Osupa, I did not mean to disrespect you. Please, don’t be offended,” Portable pleaded.

He further begged Osupa to forgive him, referring to him as a father figure and asking to be accepted as a son.

Portable’s apology comes after facing heavy criticism online for his disrespectful comments. Many fans and industry figures had called him out for his behavior, urging him to show more respect to senior artists.
