Nigerian striker Umar Sadiq has been shortlisted for two major LaLiga awards for March—Player of the Month and Goal of the Month.
Sadiq, who plays for Valencia on loan from Real Sociedad, had an impressive month, scoring three goals in three league matches. His strong performances have earned him a spot among the top players in Spain’s top division.
For the Player of the Month award, Sadiq will compete against some big names, including:
- Kylian Mbappe (Real Madrid)
- Isco (Real Betis)
- Marco Alonso (Celta Vigo)
- Pedro Diaz (Rayo Vallecano)
In the Goal of the Month category, Sadiq’s stunning strike will go up against efforts from Florin Rațiu (Rayo Vallecano) and Diego Garcia (CD Leganes).
The 28-year-old forward has been in great form since joining Valencia in January, scoring four goals in eight league matches. Fans will be eager to see if he can win either of the awards.
