Group alleges plot to recall Natasha from Senate

A group called Action Collective has alleged that there is a secret plan to remove Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan from her position in the Senate. The group claims that some people are being paid to sign a recall petition using fake names.

According to Dr. Onimisi Ibrahim, the group’s coordinator, this is a desperate move to stop Natasha from seeking justice. He mentioned that a former governor of Kogi State has been contacted to carry out this plan.

Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan is currently serving a six-month suspension due to a sexual harassment allegation she made against Senate President Godswill Akpabio. The group believes this recall attempt is another effort to silence her.

The Action Collective has urged the public, human rights activists, civil society groups, the media, and security agencies to be watchful. They advised that any recall documents should be carefully examined to prevent fraud.

The group ended its statement with a warning: “A stitch in time saves nine!”
