Heartland’s technical adviser, Emmanuel Amuneke, has encouraged the Super Eagles to fight for a place in the 2026 FIFA World Cup. He admitted that qualifying will not be easy but hopes the team will secure important wins.
Nigeria will play against Rwanda at the Amahoro Stadium in Kigali on Friday. After that, they will return to Uyo to face Zimbabwe next Tuesday.
Speaking to Heartland’s media team, Amuneke said, “I hope the Super Eagles qualify for the World Cup next year. I wish them the best of luck.”
He also stressed the importance of winning the upcoming matches, especially the first game against Rwanda. However, he acknowledged that football can be unpredictable.
Amuneke added, “I hope they will win, but we must be realistic. It’s a difficult task because anything can happen in football.”
The Super Eagles will be looking to start their qualification campaign with a strong performance and secure all three points against Rwanda.
