Tina Knowles, the mother of music superstar Beyoncé, has revealed that her daughter has no plans to act in movies again.
Although it has been over ten years since Beyoncé starred in a film, she recently worked as a voice actress in the 2019 animation The Lion King and the 2024 film Mufasa, where she voiced a character alongside her daughter, Blue Ivy.
Tina shared a clip from Cadillac Records on social media, expressing how much she loved the film and how she wished Beyoncé had continued acting.
She wrote,
“[Cadillac Records] is still one of my favorite movies, and it makes me miss the fact that my child decided not to continue with movies. She killed it in this movie. And she so unselfishly donated her salary to the Phoenix house.”
Before stepping away from acting, Beyoncé appeared in several popular movies, including Carmen: A Hip Hopera, Austin Powers in Goldmember, and Dreamgirls, which won an Oscar.
While Beyoncé remains a powerhouse in the music industry, it seems she has closed the chapter on her acting career.
