Former Liverpool player Danny Murphy has praised Arsenal’s young attacking midfielder, Ethan Nwaneri, comparing him to Liverpool legend Michael Owen.
Murphy believes Nwaneri, who is just 17 years old, plays with confidence and is not afraid of tough opponents. In his Daily Mail column, Murphy wrote, “I remember when Michael Owen was 17 and broke into the Liverpool team.
He had incredible self-belief and was difficult to stop. I see the same attitude in Nwaneri—he isn’t scared of anyone and performs even better on big occasions.”
Nwaneri has been in great form for Arsenal recently. He scored in Arsenal’s 7-1 win against PSV in the Champions League Round of 16. Fans will be eager to see if he continues his strong performances when Arsenal faces Manchester United in the Premier League this weekend.
