Arsenal legend Tomas Rosicky has responded to rumors that he has received an offer to become the club’s new sporting director.
The Gunners have been searching for a replacement since Edu left his role in November. They hope to appoint a new sporting director as early as next month.
Real Sociedad’s Roberto Olabe is seen as the top candidate, but other names, including Rosicky, Dan Ashworth, and Andrea Berta, are also being considered. For now, Jason Ayto is handling the role on an interim basis.
Speaking on the Livesport Daily podcast, Rosicky shared his thoughts on the speculation.
Rosicky expressed his deep connection with Arsenal, having spent 10 years at the club. He also mentioned his strong ties with Sparta Prague, another club close to his heart.
“I am honoured to be considered by Arsenal’s management,” Rosicky said. “But I can confirm that I have not received any offer from the club.”
He acknowledged that he is aware of Arsenal’s interest but made it clear that no formal approach has been made.
For now, Arsenal fans will have to wait and see who the club ultimately chooses as their new sporting director.
