Remo Stars head coach, Daniel Ogunmodede, has admitted that Nasarawa United deserved their win in their NPFL match on Wednesday.
The Sky Blue Stars were expected to secure all three points but suffered a 1-0 defeat at the Lafia City Stadium. Despite their efforts, they struggled to break down a determined Nasarawa United side.
Speaking after the match, Ogunmodede acknowledged that his team gave their best but couldn’t secure a positive result.
“We did our best, but the result wasn’t in our favor,” he said. “Nasarawa United needed the points more and played really well. Honestly, I’m surprised they are so low on the league table.”
The coach admitted that his team failed to create enough chances to win the game, giving credit to Nasarawa United for their strong performance.
The loss is a setback for Remo Stars, but they will now shift focus to their next NPFL fixture. Ogunmodede will hope his team can bounce back and regain their winning form in the coming matches.
