Sean “Diddy” Combs’ lawyers are fighting to dismiss evidence collected during federal raids on his homes. His defense team says the search warrants were based on false and misleading information, violating his legal rights.
The 55-year-old rapper’s attorneys filed motions in the Southern District of New York, arguing that federal agents omitted key details and exaggerated claims to secure the warrants. They say the government’s actions were either intentional or reckless, creating an unfair legal advantage.
The raids took place in March at Diddy’s homes in Los Angeles and Miami. Federal agents were investigating allegations of sex trafficking and other serious charges. During the searches, authorities seized electronic devices, weapons, and personal items, including a large amount of lubricant.
Diddy’s legal team also claims that at least one alleged victim willingly participated in his private parties, which have been labeled as “freak-offs.” They argue that prosecutors ignored evidence that could clear his name and that some accusers were motivated by financial gain.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office alleges that Diddy engaged in illegal activities for years, using threats and coercion to control victims. They claim he forced people into extended sexual performances with male sex workers, some of whom were transported across state lines.
Diddy’s attorneys are asking the court to throw out all evidence obtained in the raids, saying the government violated his Fourth Amendment rights. The case continues to unfold, with both sides presenting their arguments in court.
